Add text to a PDF without uploading
Place text directly on PDF pages and embed it into the final download. The edit happens locally, which is ideal for private forms and documents.

How it works
- Open a PDF page preview in PDF Plus.
- Choose Add Text and click where the text should appear.
- Adjust size, color, bold, or italic, then download the edited PDF.
A practical example
Add a date, a short note or a label to a document. Preview the placement before downloading the PDF with the added text embedded.

Useful tips
- Double-click another page thumbnail to add text on that page.
- Drag text boxes to reposition them; use the toolbar for font, size, colour and style.
- Keep a copy of your original. New text is embedded in the downloaded output.
Limits to know
- This adds new text over a page. It does not replace or edit the original PDF text.
- Adding a text box is not secure redaction: covered content may still be recoverable.
- This is not an OCR tool or a dedicated interactive form-field editor.

Is text added permanently to the downloaded PDF?
Yes. When you download the file, PDF Plus embeds the text into the output PDF.
Can I use this without an internet connection?
After the app loads, the text editing workflow runs in your browser and can continue offline.
How do I use this tool offline?
Choose files, try the sample or open the empty editor while connected. Once it says Editor ready, keep this tab open to continue offline. Download before closing or refreshing; sessions are not saved.
